Welcome to Hilldale Lutheran Church!
In the spirit of Christian love, we welcome you to worship with us. We welcome you here in-person for the first time in a really long time and we welcome you wherever you are, near and far. We are thankful for the technology to allow us provide hybrid ministry to reach people in the comfort of their homes or around the world. I am pleased to see familiar faces and even some new faces and hope that you will continue to join us weekly.
In that Christian love, we want all to be safe who worship here. Many are vaccinated. There may be some who, for valid reasons are not, or because of medications for other medical conditions, the vaccine does not work. All are welcome and we want all to be safe. Out of love and respect for others, we will be diligent about following the guidelines provided by the Thunder Bay District Health Unit to keep all of us safe who worship here.
These guidelines are:
-we ask that you self-assess using the Covid-19 Screening questions prior to coming to church; if you are unwell, please stay home to take care of yourself and join us online for the live-stream.
-masks are mandatory at all times indoors
-hand sanitizer is located in the front entrance and in the sanctuary for easy access
-physical distancing is required; this means that we will avoid activities which require close contact such as handshaking, hugging and sharing of items
-you may sit next to family with whom you live
-we will refrain from singing and reciting prayers and creeds together for the time being
-a collection basket is located at the exit; we ask you to place your offering in the basket on your way out of the sanctuary. Thank you.
-Sunday School and the children’s play area is still closed
-fellowship after the service is still currently suspended
-ushers will guide us out of the sanctuary after the service in an orderly manner
-Pastors will continue to provide Holy Communion to individuals who make arrangements with the Church Office
We will continue to live-stream or record our services so that we can extend our ministry to those who are unable to join us in-person.
Council will continue to monitor the TBDHU guidelines and adjust as necessary. If there are changes, we will do our best to communicate them in a timely manner on our Facebook page or by email. I thank you for your patience and I pray for the day when we can once again Worship and gather in-person without restrictions.
If you have suggestions that would make you feel more comfortable worshipping with us, please let an usher or the church office know.
